Teach French listening without the guesswork or busy work
Let’s make it easy.
1,000+ real-world dictation exercises, auto-leveled for your students. Straight from real life French media: podcasts to news to music—ready to assign in seconds.
Make listening work fun and easy for you, and effective for your students.
Easily Find the Right Fit Audio
Discover hundreds of clips on the site. Browse by topic, level, and speed (word per minute pace). All from real life French audio – like podcasts, advertisements, the news, music. Each clip is cut to less than 1 minute in length.
Create Classroom Practice
Find the right clip and level, then broadcast it to your students. If your students have devices (BYOD) they can play along. Listening practice happens in real time in two gamified modes: collaborating to complete a clip as the class or racing to be first.
Assign Individual Practice
Have students work independently by assigning clips or letting them choose. They select their level, can practice multiple levels (starting at easy and progressing to advanced), and you see their results in your teacher dashboard.
Loads of content, customizable levels, interactive accent tooltips—listening practice that’s perfect for any level: intro to advanced.
Turn any French audio into a lesson with one click
Upload ANY French language audio
Upload any file up to 30 minutes in length, then you’re done. Behind the scenes, our system processes the audio and levels it for you. Your custom exercises will be live on site within 24 hours, perfectly formatted and ready to assign.
No more busy work finding the perfect time to start and stop the audio track for your students, no dealing with ads when you had the video queued up to the right spot.
Upload today, teach tomorrow.
Our Methodology
I am passionate about learning languages. French is my 4th language. I spent hundreds of hours in Spanish class in high school and still couldn’t communicate when traveling in Mexico. In college I took over 100 hours of intensive Chinese and then couldn’t understand a word from my host family. Even as a dedicated student, I wasn’t prepared for the language as it exists in the real world.
It handles the busy work of creating exercises for you. It also mimics the way I have mastered language in the country while living there and immersing. I want to take the busy work out of creating immersive moments so you can focus on your students.
This was my inspiration for the project. Read more about my story here.
For your classroom, this means you can easily incorporate immersive listening practice with hundreds of comprehensible inputs from real life French media.
Focus On The Ears, Not The Eyes
Short form video is the rage: reels, tik toks, and other short form are all ubiquitous. However, for listening work we believe in audio only. Video gives students “cheat codes”: body language cues help show meaning and context clues that exist in any video allow students to understand by guesswork rather than listening.
Our goal is to force students to actively listen and focus only on improving their ears. Visual cues still exist in the transcription quiz as textboxes and anchor words (depending on level). These reinforce listening skills. This better prepares students for advanced AP work, watching TV and movies, and future use of the language in real life.
By removing video, you are building pure listening stamina.
We Make Listening Practice Easy
Our tool analyzes every clip for its transcript. Then sets the estimated CEFR level for each word in the clip, then ranks those words by difficulty. This means that at each clip’s easiest level, your students are tested on words at the easiest level, and at more challenging levels, the blank words also include more challenging words.
The transcription quiz offers anchors for beginners to start to pick up words in context. And advanced learners get even more challenge. In classroom sessions you control the audio playback. For individual learning on each quiz, the audio is set to loop, automatically repeating at the end of each clip. The loop lets learners improve their accent and feel of the language by hearing the same words again and again and connecting it to what’s actually said.
Stop Hunting. Start Teaching. Find the perfect clip in seconds: Filter 1,000+ authentic resources by grammar point, vocabulary theme, or CEFR level. Bite-sized for focus: Every clip is under 60 seconds—perfect for “Bell Ringers” or targeted dictation without losing student attention. Auto-Leveled Scaffolding: From slow, clear French 1 basics to rapid-fire AP-level news and podcasts. We handle the difficulty scaling so you don’t have to.
